The Past Is Red by Catherynne M. Valente, 160 pages.
Kara already made a wonderful post about this book that you can find here, and I completely agree, which leaves me with very little to add. This is a very special kind of post-apocalyptic book that leaves me wanting to read something like it afterwards instead of trying to find something lighter. Despite everything, I would consider this book hopeful, and it was a pleasure to read.
