Park Bench

Park Bench by Chaboute, 328 pages.
French artist Christopher Choboute has returned with a book that is, in fact, about a park bench. The bench is the stage upon which various small dramas are staged.  A young couple carve their intials into the bench, and that seems to begin and end the book. A homeless man attempts to make the bench his bed at night, but never successfully. An elderly couple spend their last days together sharing pastries there.
The art is beautiful in a quiet way.
