Lou takes Bea in, Bea finds a cat, and they end up taking a rambling, surreal road trip. Yes, that's the basic plot of this beautiful graphic novel, but this book is SO MUCH MORE than that. As they drive, Bea and Lou open up to one another, forging a close, inexplicable bond that will last much longer than the road trip. This is a book about escape, about trust, about facing your demons, and about a magical cat. It's wonderful.
